My Story

I am a busy wife and mom of three teenagers, a 16 year old daughter and twin 13 year old boys. When my daughter was four and the boys were one I knew that if I didn’t start scrapbooking I would be so far behind I’d never get caught up. I checked out the albums in Target and Michael’s but couldn’t find anything that looked like the quality I had pictured in my mind. My sister-in-law gave me a Creative Memories gift certificate for Christmas. A few months later I went to a Creative Memories workshop and knew right away that it was what I was looking for, quality albums, tools, workshops and more. Of course I wanted everything and the cheapest way to get it all was to become a consultant. I talked to my husband and he said to go for it if it would support my habit.

For the 1st five years I was a consultant it was just to get my products at cost and scrapbook with my friends. After my boys finished Kindergarten my husband asked when I was going to go back to work. I did not want to go back to teaching full time, I wanted to help in the kids’ classrooms, go on filed trips, have lunch with the other moms, etc. I decided to kick my Creative Memories hobby up a notch and actually start treating it like a business. I started teaching classes, holding workshops and sharing the opportunity. 12 years and 4 incentive trips later (San Diego, Los Cabos, Maui and Ireland) I’m enjoying a successful business and adding enough to the family income to keep me home.

Creative Memories has given me so many blessings. I look at this blog as an opportunity to share my passion for photos and helping others preserve their memories. I hope to create a fun, informative environment for sharing tips and techniques for traditional and digital scrapbookers, and even for those that just want to get a handle on the photos they have on their cameras, computers and social media sites. My pages aren’t super fancy, but they are done and in albums that will last a lifetime. Here’s to celebrating our photos together!
